this web site, we refer to the major substantive areas CCIs address as strands.
This page allows you to search for measures that are associated with one
or more strands of interest. Because CCIs strive to work comprehensively
and achieve synergy across a number of substantive areas, many measures
that were designed for CCI evaluations cover multiple strands. Consequently,
some measures are related to cross-cutting themes, and are cross-referenced
under more than one strand.
By clicking your cursor on the name of a strand, you will obtain a list
and a brief description of the associated measures that are described in
this collection. In each of the sections of this web site you can get more
detailed information on measures which appear on your results list by clicking
your cursor on its hypertext name. Please note that the primary data collection
instruments which are marked by a survey icon are available to be read or
